Modular visitor donation desks for the Science Museum’s welcome hall. Six mobile units create flexible arrangements to greet visitors and collect donations into a kaleidoscopic money box.

As part of a collaborative design process with the museum, DPM ensured that the design met complex operational requirements. These included the positioning of ticketing and donation hardware, ergonomic seating position for staff, Covid screen, ease of repositioning and storage.

The mirrored surface references the materiality of objects from the Science Museum’s collection such as the aluminium fuselage of a plane and the visor of an astronaut’s helmet.
